Police: Suspect Arrested In OTC Meds Theft At Hilltown CVS

Police have arrested a Philadelphia woman in connection with the theft of more than $500 in over-the-counter medications from a pharmacy in Hilltown Township in December.

Cheltenham Township Police arrested Chequita Miller on Friday, Feb. 25, and charged her with felony retail theft and misdemeanor receiving stolen property.

Hilltown Police had issued a warrant for her arrest after releasing surveillance footage in mid-January from the CVS on the 400 block of Route 313 in Hilltown Township. The footage, from Dec. 12, showed a woman dropping OTC medications into a red Grubhub delivery bag and exiting without paying.

Police said the woman was later identified as Miller. The incident was one of a number of similar retail thefts throughout Bucks and Montgomery counties, according to police.

Miller was arraigned by District Judge Daniel J Finello. Bail was set at 10% of $75,000; Miller was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using court records and the affidavit of probable cause.
