Delamater Announces Resignation as Towamencin Township Manager 10 Months into Job

Ten months into the job, Towamencin Township Manager Don Delamater has announced he is quitting, effective Sept. 16.

According to The Reporter, Towamencin Township Supervisors Chairman Chuck Wilson made the announcement on Delamater’s resignation last week. A search will begin soon for a new township manager.

Wilson said Delamater was leaving for “personal reasons.”

Delamater was announced as retiring township Manager Rob Ford’s replacement in June 2021. Delamater was previously township manager of Lower Providence for five years and East Norriton Township’s manager for 20 years, per reports.
