Man Used TikTok to Solicit Nude Photos from Two Young Sisters in Montgomery County, DA Says

An Andover, N.J. man is facing felony charges in Montgomery County after he allegedly reached out to two young sisters on TikTok and attempted to solicit nude photos.

Ryan Corcoran, 26, has been charged with disseminating child pornography, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors and criminal use of a communications facility, in connection with the investigation by the Montgomery County Detective Bureau.

Investigators were contacted in April by the father of the victims, who stated his 11- and-12-year-old daughters had been contacted by a man through TikTok direct messages soliciting nude photos. The father learned of the messages after one of his daughters disclosed that she had sent a nude image of herself via text message to the man, according to charging documents.

Both sisters began receiving texts from the man — later identified as Corcoran — continuing to solicit nude images, police said. The sisters were also sent nude photos as well, according to the criminal complaint.

Investigators said they traced the texting number to Ad Hoc Labs, which provides a service designed to conceal true phone numbers. After serving a subpoena to Ad Hoc Labs, investigators were able to trace the number to a Verizon wireless account belonging to Corcoran’s father, the report states.

After serving a search warrant on the Corcoran home, investigators found both girls’ phone numbers in Ryan’s phone, as well as the nude image sent by one of the victims and their corresponding message history, police said.

"This defendant was reaching out to random young girls on a social media platform and soliciting them to take photos of themselves in sexually explicit poses, clearly creating child pornographic images,” said DA Steele. "This is another example that there are predators out there on the internet trying to take advantage of young innocent children. Parents need to be ever vigilant to protect their children from these predators.”

Corcoran remains free on $50,000 cash bail, which was posted after his arraignment. As part of his bail setting, Corcoran is prohibited from using the internet or having contact with minors, court records show.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 27 at 1:30 p.m. in front of District Judge Maureen Coggins.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using court records and the affidavit of probable cause.
