New US Citizens Welcomed At Naturalization Ceremony By Towamencin DAR

Taking the oath of allegiance at naturalization ceremony


New citizens of the United States of America were greeted by members of Towamencin Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) on Friday, June 10, at the Naturalization to the United States of America ceremony held at Montgomery County Court House, Norristown. 
 
At the ceremony, 20 individuals from 14 countries around the globe took the Oath of American Citizenship, administered by The Honorable Noah Marlier, Prothonotary of Montgomery County, and were awarded their certificates.
 
The DAR members presented each new citizen with a gift bag containing a US flag, copies of the United States Constitution and the Flag Code, flag pin, among other items and patriotic literature. 
 
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is a non-political service organization that promotes historic preservation, education and patriotism, and is open to any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence.
