Upper Gwynedd Township to Host Family Unplugged Week

With the end of the school year just around the corner, families can kick off the start of summer by participating in Upper Gwynedd Township’s Family Unplugged Week.

Family Unplugged Week will include free pop-up activities and events like family yoga, teen candy bar bingo, tie-dye, arts in the park, a martial arts class and Zumba. The events will last from June 19 through June 25 and will take place at Parkside Place Park. 

Details on the Unplugged Week schedule:

Sunday, June 19 

  • 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.: DJ, lawn games, crafts, food truck, karate performance and demo

Monday, June 20 

  • 10 a.m.: Meet and greet, interactive story walk with UGT Parks and Rec Staff | Pavilion
  • 4:30 p.m.: Family martial arts class | Amphitheatre lawn
  • 6 p.m.: Candy Bar Bingo | Pavilion

Tuesday, June 21

  • 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.: Mosaic with the township manager and Crafting with the Commissioners | Pavilion
  • 12:30 p.m.: Teen dodgeball game | Fields
  • 5:30 p.m.: Tie Dye Tuesday | Pavilion

Wednesday, June 22

  • 9:15 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.: Family yoga in the park | Meet at Pavilion
  • 4:15 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.: Family tennis demo | Tennis courts
  • 6 p.m.: Wiffleball game | Fields

Thursday, June 23

  • 10:30 a.m.: Adult pickleball demo | Pickleball courts
  • 4 p.m.: Chair yoga for seniors | Community center
  • 4:30 p.m.: Family Storytime | North Wales Library

Friday, June 24

  • 8 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.: Zumba | Community Center
  • 8:30 p.m.: Movie in the Park | Amphitheatre lawn

Saturday, June 25

  • 10 a.m.: Volleyball tournament | Garfield Park
  • 7 p.m.: Arts in the Park and Unplugged Ice Cream Party (Ice cream truck will be present from 6:30-7:30 p.m.)
