PJ Whelihan’s Announces Opening Date for Hatfield Location, In-Person Interviews and Hiring Continue

 

PJ Whelihan’s Pub & Restaurant Hatfield is in its final days of its in-person interview process ahead of its Aug. 8 grand opening at the former Via Marconi Pizza Pub spot in Hatfield Pointe Shopping Center.

It will be the 20th PJ Whelihan’s Pub & Restaurant location.

According to service manager Michael Brothen, open interviews will take place at TD Ameritrade, 190 Forty Foot Road, Unit 102, in Hatfield Township from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. It is hiring for all positions.

PJ Whelihan’s is still in the market for enthusiastic line cooks, dishwashers, servers, bartenders, and kitchen managers. Interested applicants can walk in with a copy of their resume during the interview timeslot.

The location is also open for interviews Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

PJ Whelihan’s Hatfield already has two parties on deck following its opening: There is a Happy Hour Party on Thursday, Aug. 11 at 5 p.m., with 97.5FM The Fanatic’s The John Kincade Show crew making an appearance. The next day, PJ Whelihan’s will have an Eagles Pre-Season Party at 7 p.m., featuring giveaways and a DJ.

PJW Restaurant Group — the South Jersey holding company founded by Bob and Donna Platzer in 1983 whose portfolio includes 26 various brands of P.J. Whelihan’s Pub and Restaurant, The Pour House, The ChopHouse Grille, Platz’s in Mahoning Valley, and Central Taco and Tequila across eastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey — was purchased in December by New York investment firm Garnett Station Partners, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Garnett Station Partners’ portfolio includes equity partnerships and credit investments in businesses like P.F. Chang’s, Mambo Seafood, Twin Peaks, Fat Tuesday, Checkers, and Planet Fitness, per the article.

Via Marconi Pizza Pub closed its doors in May after 30 years in business
