Florida Man Accused of Soliciting Nude Photos from Juvenile Female in Bucks County

A Florida man is behind bars at the Bucks County Correctional Facility after he allegedly solicited nude photos from a 12-year-old girl in Milford Township.

Mario Ahumada, 32, of Tampa, has been charged with 13 felony counts of solicitation of child pornography, 13 felony counts of possession of child pornography, a felony count of sexual communication with a minor, and a misdemeanor count of corruption of minors, in connection with the investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police.

Investigators were contacted in May 2021 after the mother of the victim discovered her daughter had been sending nude images of herself to an unknown person via text. When the mother reached out to the unknown person, they claimed to be a person named “Anthony” who was living in the United Kingdom, police said.

The mother of the victim turned the phone over to investigators, who found a total of 13 nude images that were sent by the victim, along with 20 images of files of “Anthony” in various states of undress that were sent to the victim, police said.

The victim told police she began speaking to “Anthony” via text and Snapchat in September 2020, and she had informed him that she was 12 years old at that time, according to charging documents.

Police said they traced the phone number and Snapchat account to Ahumada, who was living in Florida after a recent move from Minnesota. Text logs recovered by police showed Ahumada and the victim engaged in sexual conversations, with Ahumada requesting images and videos of the victim performing sex acts, and Ahumada sending the victim images of his penis, the report states.

Charges were filed against Ahumada on June 14. He was then taken into custody on June 30 and arraigned by District Judge Regina Armitage, who set bail at 10% of $300,000 cash. Ahumada was then remanded to Bucks County jail after failing to post bail.

Court records show Ahumada’s bail was reduced on July 8 to 10% of $200,000 cash, which he posted three days later. His next court appearance is a preliminary hearing on Sept. 6 at 1 p.m. in front of Judge Armitage.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using court records and the affidavit of probable cause.
