The Perkasie Borough Police Department is seeking public assistance in identifying a male suspect who allegedly threatened and grabbed the shirt of a resident, while also being armed with a knife.
According to the release, police received a report of a suspicious incident that occurred at a residence July 5 at 4:04 p.m.
A female resident reported that approximately 30 minutes before calling police, she was removing boxes from her residence when the male suspect entered the residence. She said that he noticed she was alone and offered to help her with the boxes, in which the resident told the suspect to leave and he did.
On July 13, the victim provided additional details to investigators, adding that the suspect was armed with a knife and grabbed her shirt as she fled her house. The suspect also made a threatening statement, police said.
This information was not previously reported during the initial investigation, and police did not provide a reason for those details initially being withheld.
The suspect is described as a white male standing 6-foot tall in his mid-30s with short buzzed-cut hair and a thick brown neatly trimmed beard. He was wearing a black hoodie, jeans, and black latex gloves. The suspect also had a noticeable mole on the right side of his cheek.
