Victim Identified in Fatal Wednesday Night Crash on Route 309

Hilltown Township Police have released the details of a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred late Wednesday night on Route 309 near Reliance Road.

First responders were dispatched to the scene at 10 p.m. for a report of a traffic accident with injuries. Arriving police officers located a single vehicle crash in which a Toyota Camry had struck the guardrail

The driver, identified as 52-year-old Roland Christy III, of Chalfont, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Investigators said they believe speed was a contributing factor to the crash, which remains under investigation.

Hilltown Township Police were assisted at the scene by Perseverance Fire Company, Telford Fire Company, Grand View EMS and the Bucks County Coroner’s Office.
