A barbershop, a sandwich shop and a new nail salon are three of the new tenants who have signed leases thus far to open at the Royal Farms parcel at Sumneytown Pike and Church Road in Upper Gwynedd, per a release from a representative of commercial developer and retail broker Retail Sites LLC.
Tyler Arsenault, director of leasing for Retail Sites, said leases have been signed with Parker’s Barber Shop, Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop and Signature 10 Nail Salon.
Dubbed The Shoppes at Upper Gwynedd, owner Retail Sites can build two additional buildings on the 4.5-acre tract, customizing retail and office space from 1,170 square feet to 9,804 square feet. The property is the former site of Genuardi’s/Giant Market. In August 2019, Upper Gwynedd supervisors unanimously approved the land development request from developer Hartford Properties, according to The Reporter.
The developer had plans back in 2016 for the site, and continued them in August and October 2018, per reports. At the time, the township was also in litigation with developer Provco Pinegood over Wawa plans across the street.
