Photos: Crews Respond to Residential Fire in North Wales Wednesday Morning

A home in North Wales Borough was damaged late Wednesday morning after a second-story fire broke through the roof of the residence.

Area fire companies were dispatched to 400 block of West Walnut Street at 10:47 a.m. on Feb. 16 for a report of a residential dwelling fire. Responding units encountered a single-family dwelling with heavy smoke showing and fire that had gone through the roof, according to Emergency Alerts of Southeastern Pennsylvania.

The fire has since been placed under control, though crews remain on scene performing cleanup and overhaul, according to the Upper Gwynedd Fire Department. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

Responding units include North Penn Fire Company, Upper Gwynedd Fire Department, Fairmount Fire Company, Towamencin Fire Company, Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale, North Wales Police and Upper Gwynedd Police.
