Police on Scene After Pedestrian Killed by Train in Lansdale Late Tuesday Morning

Lansdale Borough Police and Septa Police are currently at the scene of a fatal incident involving a pedestrian and a Septa train along the regional rail line in Lansdale Borough.

The train is currently stopped between Pennbrook Train Station and the Septa crossing on Hancock Street. Sources tell North Penn Now a middle-aged woman was struck and killed by the train, however the age and sex of the victim have not been corroborated at this time.

Lansdale Borough Police Chief Michael Trail confirmed that a pedestrian was struck and killed by an outbound train on the Septa Regional Rail line, however he did not provide any identifying information. The incident reportedly occurred around 11:55 a.m.

Police and Septa personnel remain on the scene at this time, and Lansdale Borough Police are assisting Septa Police with the investigation.
