Hatfield Township took to Facebook on Wednesday to announce its joyous news to residents — there will be no tax increase for the ninth consecutive year.
Hatfield Township Commissioners will vote to adopt the budget next week.
“The Commissioners have done an incredible job of containing costs while improving services and addressing problems,” said the Facebook post.
With taxes remaining level, commissioners have a plethora of improvements and expenses planned for 2023.
Projects coming up next year include:
• Designing the new Hatfield Township Police Station
• Paving Frick’s Trail
• Redeveloping Clemens Park
• Undergoing $1 million in road paving
• Digitizing all township property files
• Finalizing the design for the new Welsh Road and Orvilla Road intersection in conjunction with Towamencin Township
• Acquiring four homes prone to flooding
• Expanding the Liberty Bell Trail
• Renovating the Stewart Drive rainwater basin (Naturalized in 2014, but renovation needed to improve stormwater drainage; funded 100% by ARPA and will begin Winter/Spring 2023)
• Supporting the farming of Garden of Health in Clemens Park
