First Watch to Open New Location in Montgomeryville

A Florida-based restaurant chain with more than 400 restaurants across 28 states will soon open its 10th location in our region soon next to the Verizon store at Bethlehem Pike and Vilsmeier Road in Montgomeryville.

First Watch — a nautical term that refers to the very first shift of the day — will serve breakfast, brunch and lunch made-to-order, with fresh menu options, which also includes gluten-free and vegan fare.

According to its website, First Watch considers the morning “the best shift of the day.”

“Thats because come the crack of dawn, were slicing and juicing fresh fruit and vegetables and whipping up our French toast batter from scratch, just for you,” per its website.

A look at its menu shows a variety of fare that has something for everyone.

There is a juice bar section, with drinks juiced daily with all-natural ingredients, such as Cranberry Crush, Morning Meditation Fresh Juice, Kale Tonic Fresh Juice, and Purple Haze.

Brunch cocktails include mimosas, Bloody Marys, vodka kale tonic, and cinnamon toast cereal milk.

There are your usual waffles, pancakes, eggs and (candied) bacon, but also healthier options like avocado toast, superfoods bowls, granola bowls, and “power wraps.”

Customers can order classic Eggs Benedict, a BLT Benedict, smoked salmon Benedict, farmstead breakfast tacos, biscuits and turkey sausage gravy, or a variety of hash breakfast meals.

There are omelettes, frittatas, and quinoa bowls.

Lunch options include superfood kale salad, chicken avocado chop salad, sweet honey pecan salad, Cobb salad, club sandwiches, BLTs, veggie burgers and more.

There is even a kid’s menu.

First Watch will be open 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at its location at 744 Bethlehem Pike.

In the meantime, check out its other locations in Audubon and Abington.

(Editor's note: a previous version of this story referenced the location of the new restaurant as the former Verizon store location. The location is actually next to the Verizon store, which is still open. We apologize for this error.)
