Need a little help on gift giving this holiday season? Consider gifting your loved ones some art and crafts from local small businesses.
Headway Art Collective will be hosting its annual Deck the Walls holiday show Dec. 11 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Upper Gwynedd Fire Hall, located at 660 Garfield Ave.
“Although it's great to support small businesses and the local arts all year round, the holidays are especially great,” Shannon Vogel, event coordinator said. “Not only can you get some very unique gifts, but you'll be supporting people who have a passion for what they do. By shopping small you'll help to put food on tables, pay for children to join sports, help the vendors get gifts for their loved ones, and so much more.”
More than 18 artists from Headway Art Collective and other local vendors from small local businesses will sell items like stained glass, chainmail jewelry, flower arrangements made from wooden flowers, blown glass, premium limoncello, beaded jewelry, Christmas ornaments, fidget toys, art prints, vintage items and oddities, hand-sewn bags, snacks, and food.
Some of the vendors include:
Vogel said the event is a great opportunity for attendees to meet artists from all around the community and to see what Headway Art Collective has to offer.
“This event is a great mix of traditional art and crafts, more alternative gifts, and everything is handmade and local,” said Vogel. “There will be so many different types of gifts for all ages and different personalities.”
