North Penn Area Scholarship Fund Applications Now Open to Interested Students

Applicants interested in being considered for a 2023 North Penn Area Scholarship can now apply on the North Penn Area Scholarship Fund Association’s (NPASFA) website.

The scholarship is open to students looking to further their education at traditional four-year colleges, as well as two-year colleges and trade schools.

Applicants for the scholarship must be graduating high school seniors residing within the boundaries of the North Penn School District and rank in the top half of their graduating class.

Founded in 1956, the North Penn Area Scholarship Fund Association has presented over 1,396 individual scholarships totaling over $1,256,000. The scholarship aims to provide financial support to college-bound students. It is awarded based on financial need, extra-curricular activities, school and community service, and academic performance.

The NPASFA awards scholarships to more than 25 school seniors from local high schools including North Penn High School, Lansdale Catholic High School, Mount Saint Joseph Academy, Gwynedd Mercy Academy, Dock Mennonite Academy, Germantown Academy, and other private and parochial schools annually.

The NPASFA is funded through an annual fund drive with contributions from local organizations, businesses, and individuals and a trust fund. The trust fund was established in the 70s and has been growing ever since.

All application materials must be submitted by March 1, 2023. Details on how to apply can be found here.
