Man Accused of Taking Photos of Woman in Dressing Room at Goodwill Outlet in Montgomeryville

A Newark, DE man is facing charges after he allegedly took photos of a woman changing in a dressing room at the Montgomeryville Goodwill Outlet earlier this summer.

Montgomery Township Police were dispatched to the store on June 6 at 12:38 p.m. for a report of a male recording a female customer while she was in the fitting room. The victim told police she was in the dressing room trying on various clothes and when she finished and bent over to pick up items that were on the floor, she noticed a cell phone under the door with the camera pointed in her direction.

The woman stated “Oh, you’re caught” and exited the room, finding a heavy0set Hispanic male pretending to look at furniture directly outside the fitting room, police said. The man then exited the store and fled in a white Dodge Ram truck as the victim walked behind and called police, according to charging documents.

Though police were unable to locate the suspect or his vehicle, they later traced the license plate back to 42-year-old Eleazar Gonzalez-Franco, the report states. Court records show Gonzalez-Franco was officially charged on Aug. 10 with invasion of privacy and disorderly conduct, and he was taken into custody and arraigned on Aug. 24.

Gonzalez-Franco is currently free on $5,000 unsecured bail. His next court appearance is a preliminary hearing on Oct. 25 at 9:45 a.m. in front of District Judge Andrea Duffy.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using court records and the affidavit of probable cause. This story was updated to reflect the child's current custody status.
