Morgan Log House in Towamencin to Hold Tavern Night Fundraiser

The Morgan Log House, a historic 18th century museum, will be hosting its annual Tavern Night fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 10, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event is co-hosted with Towamencin Township and will include local food, local drink, and local history. Tickets are on sale at the museum’s website, www.morganloghouse.org/tavern.

Tavern Night is a fun night out at the museum and is a temporary beer garden on the historic grounds of the Morgan Log House. Beer vendors include Round Guys Brewing Company, Blueprint Brewing Company, and McAllister Brewing Company. Food will be provided by Chef Chipper at AAA Catering. The event will also include opportunities to explore the historic Morgan Log House in new and exciting ways and historic demonstrations. All are included in the ticket price of $45.

The Morgan Log House is a historic home in Lansdale. The land that it occupies was originally owned by Edward and Elizabeth Morgan, the maternal grandparents of frontiersman Daniel Boone. The house was built at between 1770 and 1774 and is an excellent example of a German log cabin. The home is a museum and is open for tours, workshops, and programming throughout the year, including the museum’s historic makerspace. The Morgan Log House is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
