Lansdale Woman ID’d as Victim of Fatal Crash in Lower Providence

Officials with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office have identified the victim of a fatal crash that occurred last Thursday in Lower Providence Township as 31-year-old Kellie Adams, of Lansdale.

According to the release, the crash occurred just before 3 p.m. on Aug. 25 along the 500 block of South Park Avenue. Police were dispatched to the scene for a report of a two-vehicle crash, and on arrival, discovered that Adams’ 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and a 2003 Ford F650 XLT Super Duty dump truck had collided head on.

Adams, who was pregnant at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her baby girl, Emersyn Grace Adams, did not survive and was stillborn following the crash.

The driver of the dump truck was uninjured, according to the district attorney’s office.

“This is a tragic loss of life of a young mother, pregnant with her third child,” said Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele. “Our hearts and prayers go out the family at this very difficult time.”

Adams was the daughter of former Lansdale Borough Police Officer and Towamencin Fire Chief Dean Miller. Funeral services are scheduled this week beginning Aug. 31 with visitation at Lansdale Presbyterian Church from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and one Sept. 1 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., according to Adams’ obituary.

Hatfield Township Police issued a release earlier Monday, alerting residents in the Oak park area of the township to expect multiple police and fire vehicles to be present along the roadways during the funeral services.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, which is expected to take several weeks, officials said.

North Penn Now would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Dean and Adams families as they cope with this unimaginable tragedy. We will keep you all in our thoughts.
