Cantina Rabo’s Chef Carlos Centeno Opens New Brunch Location, ‘Comfort at the Corner,’ in Telford

As Imprint Beer Co. continues to set their sights on expansion across the region, the manger of their Cantina Rabo kitchen, Chef Carlos Centeno, has announced an expansion of his own.

Last month, Centeno — along with his sous chef and business partner, Lauren — launched a new brunch location called Comfort at the Corner in Telford, at the intersection of Ridge and Allentown roads. With little competition in proximity, the new venture immediately drew in crowds seeking to try out their modernized comfort foods.

“It’s been great. People were waiting for us to open, and we’re happy to provide a comfortable location for them to sit down and enjoy our food,” said Centeno. “We decided to open here because there was nothing else around here. We wanted to focus on breakfast and lunch, as it gives us flexibility in the evenings to spend time with our families.”

Open Wednesday through Sunday at 7 a.m., Comfort at the Corner boasts a breakfast menu that feature higher-end standard breakfast options like eggs, waffles, and pancakes, to more unique fares including southern chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, breakfast skillets and breakfast burritos. On the lunch side, guests can choose from everything from cheese boards to southern barbecue and tacos.

“I would say our menu is comfort food with a modern, southern twist,” said Chef Lauren.

Early reviews have been extremely favorable for Comfort at the Corner, with their Facebook page showing a five-star average after 10 reviews and 43 check-ins. Google reviews are equally kind, showing a 4.7-out-of-5 average after 17 reviews — and that average would actually be higher if not for a one-star review that is seemingly for a different restaurant.

“Food is a definite passion for us,” Centeno said, noting he and Lauren had more than 40 years’ experience combined. “We have passion, we love to cook, and we’re excited to serve our community.”
