MontcoWorks Announces Fall Job Fair at Plymouth Meeting Mall

(The following information was provided by the Montgomery County Office of Communications.)

MontcoWorks and PA CareerLink® Montgomery County are partnering with the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County to hold a job fair and business expo at the Plymouth Meeting Mall on Tuesday Oct. 11 from noon to 5 p.m. Employers from across the region are invited to register today.

This will be the second job fair held at the Plymouth Meeting Mall in 2022. In February, employers from multiple industries welcomed over 250 attendees at a similar event. The location allows career seekers to attend by car or by public transit. The event will also be advertised on the mall’s LED sign, with more than 250,000 cars passing each week.

“While Montgomery County has the second lowest unemployment rate in the commonwealth at 3.4%, that rate equates to 15,700 unemployed residents,” said Jennifer Butler, Executive Director of MontcoWorks. “We are excited to partner with the chamber to once again offer this venue for our employers who need workers to connect to these potential candidates who need work.”

Employers will also have an opportunity to speak to representatives from PA CareerLink® Montgomery County’s Business Services Team to learn more about free ongoing recruitment support as well as access to on-the-job training and incumbent worker training funds.

Employers who register for the job fair before Sept. 1 can reserve a booth at a discounted rate of $250. Questions about the Job Fair can be directed to Wendy Custer, Vice President of Member Services with the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County, at [email protected]

Employers who want to learn more about recruitment events and services available in Montgomery County can contact Jennifer Butler at [email protected].
