New Lansdale Catholic Athletic Director to Take Reins Sept. 1

In three short years, Keith Reider went from athletic trainer to athletic director at Lansdale Catholic High School.

According to CatholicPhilly.com, Reider, 30, will take the reins Sept. 1. The Bloomsburg University grad went on to expand his exercise science degree with a master’s in athletic training from Temple University, per the report.

Drawing on his skills and experience under the athletic training division at Grand View Hospital and as head athletic trainer at the high school for NovaCare Rehabilitation, Reider brings to Lansdale Catholic a desire for safer sports, creating injury prevention programs and pushing for better medical treatment for game-related injuries, according to CatholicPhilly.com.

According to AOP Athletics, Reider’s predecessor, Mark Princehorn, resigned after nearly three years with the school to lead the boys’ lacrosse program at St. Joseph’s Prep.

Princehorn told CatholicPhilly.com that Reider will do a fantastic job at LC.

“He already has built great relationships with the coaches, kids, faculty and community,” Princehorn said. “He was essential in the athletic success that took place over the last few years … (Reider) is a phenomenal person who will help the students be the best versions of themselves.”

Reider, who is certified in CPR and first aid, told AOP he was enthusiastic to join the high school again.

“I look forward to once again being a part of the close-knit LC community where (we) uplift one another in academics and athletics,” Reider said.

Lansdale Catholic is a member of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) and the Philadelphia Catholic League.
