The North Penn School District Educational Foundation will be holding its annual Build-a-Bag assembly day on Aug. 18 at 8 a.m. at the JL Freed Auto Repair Shop located at 2001 N Broad Street in Hatfield. Volunteers will assemble all the supplies donated to the drive into bags for North Penn students in need.
This year’s volunteer team is composed of the North Penn School District administrative team, who have donated their time to assist students in need. Volunteers will stuff backpacks full of the supplies needed for the 2022-2023 school year. Bags will then be delivered to the 18 North Penn schools where guidance counselors will discreetly distribute backpacks to students.
For the past month, community members and businesses across the North Penn community have collected supplies to be donated to students in need. Over 180 bags will be distributed prior to the start of the school year, and more throughout as families join the district.
