Merck to Expand Footprint Across Montgomery County with New R&D Lab in Lower Gwynedd

Life sciences are taking over the Spring House Innovation Park in Lower Gwynedd.

Merck is one of four life science companies to lease space at the 133-acre, 14-building, 600,000-square-foot former Rohm and Haas research and development campus at 727 Norristown Road, according to Montco Today and Philadelphia Business Journal.

The pharmaceutical giant will lease building space for a 78,000-square-foot laboratory for vaccine research and development, per the report. All in all, the four occupancies will encompass 117,000 square feet, about 60 percent of the entire campus.

The other three life science companies leasing space include, according to Montco Today, Seres Therapeutics, a microbiome therapeutics company; Tavotek Biotherapeutics, which expanded its existing space to 4,000 square feet; and FlowMetric, a contract research organization.
