Valley Forge Road Closed Following Crash Involving Police Vehicle

Valley Forge Road has been closed in the area of Snyder Road following a two-vehicle crash earlier this morning.

According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred 8:06 a.m. on the Towamencin Township side of the road. Towamencin Police Chief Tim Troxel said in a phone interview that the crash involved two vehicles — one of which is a Towamencin Police vehicle.

Troxel said the occupants of the police vehicle and the civilian vehicle suffered minor injuries and have since been transported to Grand View Hospital for treatment.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.

The road is expected to be closed for an extended period as officers from neighboring police departments conduct a crash scene investigation. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area.
