A juvenile female was rescued from a tree on Wednesday afternoon after a good Samaritan saw she was stuck and dialed 9-1-1.
Upper Gwynedd Police Chief David Duffy told North Penn Now members of his department were dispatched to the scene at 3:30 p.m. on April 6 for a report of a teen stuck in a tree. Duffy said the 13-year-old subject had climbed the tree for fun but could not figure out how to get back down. A nearby good Samaritan saw the teen was stuck and then called police for help.
Duffy said the rescue took about 15 minutes, with the teen being freed without injury.
“We are glad we could help and that the young lady was not hurt,” said Duffy.
