Pinnacle Ridge Winery has opened its new tasting room in downtown Lansdale.
The new tasting room at 34 Susquehanna Avenue in Lansdale is currently open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. It welcomes groups of up to six for wine tasting – no reservation necessary. Indoor seating is available for those who would like to enjoy a glass or share a bottle. Cheese, crackers, and charcuterie are available as accompaniments.
In March 2021, the Pinnacle Ridge brand was acquired by the Allegro Wine Company that also owns Allegro Winery (Stewartstown, PA) and Cadenza Vineyards (Brogue, PA). Carl Helrich is the owner and winemaker for the three brands. Pinnacle Ridge was previously located outside of Kutztown and was founded by Brad Knapp, who retired in February 2021 after 28 years as an award-winning winemaker.
“We selected Lansdale due to its central location between Brad’s former place near Kutztown and all of the business we do in the greater Philadelphia area,” said Helrich. “It’s a great town, which already supports two breweries and a distillery, so it seems a perfect match for us.”
Pinnacle Ridge wines will continue to be sold in grocery stores and Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores as well as in restaurants, breweries, and distilleries. Pinnacle Ridge wines are also shipped direct to consumers in 38 states via its website, www.pinridge.com. A subscription wine club is also available.
“We’re excited to have a new home for Pinnacle Ridge, where we can meet existing customers and welcome new ones,” said Helrich, “The tasting room will serve as a destination to keep the winery alive for Pennsylvania wine drinkers.”
Those interested, can subscribe to receive updates and announcements about Pinnacle Ridge Winery at www.pinridge.com. Allegro Wine Company is among the ten largest wineries in Pennsylvania, producing over 20,000 cases of wine annually at its two winemaking facilities in southern York County.
