Bucks County Man Accused of Drive-By Shooting with BB Gun Sentenced to Jail

A Doylestown man accused of discharging a BB gun into a home in New Britain Borough last spring has been sentenced to jail time.

Ronald Page, 44, has been sentenced to 6 to 23 months in the Bucks County Correctional Facility after pleading guilty to misdemeanor counts of possessing an instrument of crime, simple assault and criminal mischief. Additional charges of discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and harassment were withdrawn in exchange for his plea, court records show.

Page will face probation upon his release, and Bucks County Common Pleas Judge Theodore Fritsch Jr. ordered Page to undergo “decision making classes,” according to court records. He is also prohibited from having further contact with the victim.

According to the criminal complaint, Central Bucks Regional Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Hickory Drive at 3:30 p.m. on April 22, 2021, for a report of a person firing a weapon at the residence. Prior to police arrival, a male resident advised Bucks County Dispatch that the suspect was Page, who fled the scene in a white sedan, the report states.

Upon arrival, investigators spoke with the male resident, who stated that he saw Page pull up in front of his home in his vehicle, at which point Page began shooting at the victim’s kitchen window, the report states. The victim described the weapon as a black handgun, possibly a 9mm, however investigators located metal BBs on the ground under the shattered window, according to the report.

Page then fled the scene, according to the report. A female who was inside of the home, identified as Page’s wife, confirmed to police that the person in the white sedan was her husband, police said.

Page was taken into custody on April 24, 2021.
