Hilltown Police Identify Walmart Theft Suspect, Arrest Warrant Issued

Hilltown Township Police have identified the suspect who was allegedly responsible for stealing items from the Walmart on Bethlehem Pike in early August.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 24-year-old Declan McCarthy, of Quakertown, stemming from the investigation. Police allege that McCarthy entered the store on Aug. 8, selected multiple items and then exited without paying.

Following a confrontation with a store employee, McCarthy fled the scene in a blue Chrysler PT Cruiser, police said.

Investigators are now seeking public assistance in locating McCarthy. Anyone with information regarding McCarthy’s whereabouts is asked to submit a tip to police by clicking here. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
