(The following information was provided by Hedwig House.)
Last week, Hedwig House was pleased to welcome Jack and Tommy Jaeger — 9-year-old twins — to the organization to see our program and visit with individuals we serve.
Jack and Tommy became interested in Hedwig House while participating in the agency’s virtual Spotlight on Mental Health Fundraiser with their parents in March. After learning about our services and hearing from program participants, they were inspired to help individuals with mental illness in their community.
The brothers held an art show to raise funds for Hedwig House and presented the organization with a donation check from their show. State Representatives Steve Malagari and Mary Jo Daley, along with Mr. Ryan Oister (Field Representative for Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick) attended to celebrate Jack and Tommy’s achievement.
Additionally, on behalf of Congressman Ryan Fitzpatrick, Mr. Oister presented each boy with a certificate and American Flag that was flown over our Capital building.
The Mission of Hedwig House is to provide support and assistance to individuals with mental illness in pursuit of independence and personal fulfillment. Given the increased need for mental health services during the pandemic and positive impact we can make when we work together to help others, we applaud Jack and Tommy’s entrepreneurial spirit and are grateful for their contribution. They are making a difference in the lives of those with mental illness
