Vehicle Crash on Valley Forge Road Causes Local Power Outage, Shuts Down Road

A portion of Valley Forge Road has been closed following a vehicle crash earlier this morning.

According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred at 10:12 a.m. on Valley Forge Road near the intersection with McAuliffe Lane. It is unclear how many vehicles were involved in the crash, however residents in the area tell North Penn Now that a utility pole is damaged and leaning over the roadway.

As a result of the crash, Valley Forge Road has been closed between Snyder and Allentown roads. It is unclear if there were any injuries.

Residents in the area are also reporting local power outages, likely caused by the crash. One resident told North Penn Now that PECO stated the power should be back on around 3 p.m.
