UPDATE: Sept. 7, 6 p.m. – Souderton Police Chief Brian Newhall said the bull was located in front of the China Panda restaurant, “trying to keep away from Burger King.” Newhall added that the bull has since been reunited with his owner.
“The bull spent most of his time on the Bucks County side,” Newhall said. “The only problem we had was with drivers stopping to look. They were told to moooooove along, and we had no further issues.”
This brings to an end North Penn Now’s Pulitzer worthy coverage of this incident.
“We are actually still in pursuit of the wayward cattle,” said Newhall. “We don’t know where he escaped from, his motive, or his destination as of yet.”
According to Mike Massi, who filmed the video and submitted it to North Penn Now, the incident occurred around 3 p.m. on Route 113 near the intersection with Route 309. It is currently unclear how the bull escaped or where it escaped from.
North Penn Now has reached out to police to find out where the bull came from, how it escaped and how it was retrieved. We will update this article when we receive a response.
Until then, here’s a video of the incident.
(Editor's note: a previous version of this story identified the animal as a cow. It has since been identified as a Holstein bull, and all mentions of cows within this story have been corrected.)
