The remnants of Hurricane Ida are currently making their way through the North Penn region, bringing flash floods and tornado watches across the area.
As of 6:23 p.m., Montgomery County Department of Public Safety (DPS) was reporting more than 100 active incidents, including numerous water rescues across the immediate area. DPS has confirmed that Lansdale Borough is in a state of “extreme flooding.”
Residents are being asked to stay in their homes and avoid travel at all costs. Primary roadways, as well as secondary roadways have been reported as flooded across most of the area.

The area remains under a Flash Flood Warning until 8:45 p.m.
and a tornado watch until 10 p.m. The rain is expected to move away from the
area early Thursday morning.
