Lansdale Borough Police have released some of the details from a single-vehicle crash that occurred at the Pavilion Shopping Center on South Broad Street on Monday Morning.
Police were dispatched to the 600 block of South Broad Street on Oct. 25 at 9:18 a.m. for a report of a single-vehicle accident in front of Burger King. Arriving police found that a Nissan sedan had left the roadway and struck a decorative wall in front of the restaurant, then came to rest against a berm on a 45-degree angle.
Investigators said the vehicle was driven by a 41-year-old female and was also occupied by a male passenger. Both the female and male were extricated from the vehicle by fire service personnel once the vehicle was secure and stabilized, police said.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time, and the incident remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.
Lansdale Borough Police were assisted at the scene by personnel from Fairmount Fire Company, Upper Gwynedd Police, Volunteer Medical Service Corps and Towamencin Fire Company.
The roadway, which was closed for more than 90 minutes, reportedly reopened just after 11 a.m.
