Lego Bandits Strike Hilltown Walmart Again, Police Continue Investigation

Two weeks ago, we wrote about an investigation by the Hilltown Township Police Department into a pair of suspects who stole a cart full of Legos from the Walmart on Bethlehem Pike. Police said the man and woman were caught on security cameras exiting the store via the fire escape door with the goods, which were valued at several hundred dollars.

The couple then fled the scene in a white SUV, believed to be an older model Ford Explorer or Mercury Mountaineer.

In an interesting development, investigators now say that the couple returned to the Hilltown Walmart on Oct. 1…to steal more Legos. Police said that store employees were not alerted to the suspects’ presence until after they had already fled the scene with more goods. Additionally, the couple is also suspected of being involved in a retail theft from a Walmart in West Whiteland Township in Chester County.

Investigators are renewing their call for public assistance in locating and identifying the two suspects. Anyone with information regarding the suspects’ identities or whereabouts is asked to contact the Hilltown Township Police Department at 215-453-6000. Tips can also be sent electronically and anonymously here.
