Police Investigating Possible Child Luring Incident in Hilltown

Hilltown Township Police are seeking public assistance with their investigation into a possible child luring incident that occurred last Thursday afternoon.

Investigators said they were dispatched to the Pleasant Meadows development at 3:35 p.m. on Nov. 18 for a report of a “suspicious occurrence” that occurred in the area of Goldenrod Court and Steeplebush Drive. Reports indicate that an unidentified woman pulled her vehicle up to a 7-year-old boy who had just gotten off the school bus and asked him to get into her vehicle for a ride home.

The boy declined the offer and the woman drove away, police said. The parents of the boy, as well as a neighbor, witnessed the incident. The vehicle was last seen driving through the development on Thistle Lane.

Witnesses described the vehicle to police as a newer Chevrolet Traverse that is black in color. The suspect is described as a white female between 30-to-50-years old with possibly blonde hair.

Pennridge School District has been notified.

Anyone with information regarding the women’s identity or additional information about the incident is asked to contact the Hilltown Township Police Department at 215-453-6000. Tips can also be sent anonymously and electronically by clicking here.
