On Monday, North Montco Technical Career Center Construction Carpentry students participated in their First Marking Period Hard Hat Challenge.

Each marking period, students have tasks to complete on the program task list. Students are awarded stickers to place on their hard hats for their efforts. Students also earn stickers for industry certifications they earn.

Some of the many categories include:

  • Dressed to Impress (Dressed professionally in their work gear)
  • Helping Hand Award (Demonstrated willingness to help others)
  • Academic Excellence (for having a GPA of 3.5 or greater)
  • Attention to Detail (visually paying attention to every detail to ensure a quality result)

The students look forward to earning stickers and sharing them on their hard hats. This motivates the students to keep safety and employability practices on their minds as they prepare for their future careers.
