May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and local Lansdale businesses are coming together to build mental health awareness in their community.
According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), one in five people identify living with a mental health challenge in a given year. The Dubnow Family knows the impact of supporting a loved one who experiences mental illness. They combined their love for craft beer and wanting to share the life of Noah Dubnow to create an opportunity to raise mental health awareness in their community with Hops for Hope.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Montgomery County, PA is excited to partner with Round Guys Brewing Company, Well Crafted Beer Company, Lansdale Tavern, Stove & Tap, Instagram influencer @IPkAyyyyyy and the Dubnow Family to host Hops for Hope. This will be an incredible in-person event to raise mental health awareness in loving memory of Noah Dubnow, who was a beloved son, brother and father. The is a family friendly, craft beer, sober curious, and sober event dedicated to making our community more aware of mental health illness.
This will offer the opportunity for fun and connection while learning about the prevalence of mental illness, how to support someone impacted by mental illness and how to keep hope when a situation feels hopeless.
The event features guest speakers including state Rep. Steve Malagari, Lansdale Mayor Garry Herbert, NAMI Montco Executive Director Abby Grasso, and Stacie Dubnow — Noah’s mother. Additionally, the event will offer mental health resources, raffle baskets, and more.
The event kicks off at 12:30 p.m. at Round Guys Brewing Company and will travel to Well Crafted Beer Company at 1:30 p.m. and Lansdale Tavern at 3 p.m. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to NAMI, and community members can make additional donations here.
Join the Lansdale community on May 22 for Hops for Hope, to take part locally in a National Day of Hope for those impacted by mental illness. For more information on NAMI Montgomery County PA, please check their website at www.namimontcopa.org.
