UPDATE: March 21, 1:04 a.m. - The fire has been placed under control, and no injuries have been reported. North Penn Now will provide further details after speaking with officials from the fire companies and police department.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, units were dispatched to the scene at 12:27 a.m. on March 21 for a report of a dwelling fire. Police were first to respond to the scene, and reported a fully-involved fire in the garage of a single-story home, sources told North Penn Now.
In addition to the fire, sources and online reports from witnesses indicate that there have been multiple explosions associated with the blaze. The cause of those explosions has not been determined at this time, however one source stated the cause was a stored propane tank.
No injuries have been reported.
Units from Fairmount Fire Company, Hatfield Fire Company, Towamencin Fire Company and North Penn Fire Company are currently assisting at the scene, as are units from the Lansdale Borough Police Department and the Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale.
