North Penn TV Students Win High School Student Television Award

North Penn School District (NPSD) is proud to announce that North Penn Television (NPTV) received a Mid-Atlantic High School Production Award of Excellence from the National Academy for Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS), Mid-Atlantic Chapter.

Nominees and award winners are selected by broadcast professionals throughout the Mid-Atlantic region in 14 different categories.

Advised by NPSD Coordinator of Communications Media Bob Gillmer, North Penn High School (NPHS) senior and career study student Mariam Akraz received an award for work submitted into the annual competition. In addition to the Awards of Excellence, NPTV students also received two other nominations.

With this award, NPTV students have now won 28 Mid-Atlantic High School Production Awards for Excellence from the National Academy for Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS), Mid-Atlantic Chapter since 2003.

The educational day and awards ceremony was virtually on May 20, 2021.
