Tuesday Afternoon Crash on Sumneytown Pike Caused by Driver Running Red Light, Police Say

A crash that occurred at the intersection of Sumneytown Pike and Church Road on Tuesday afternoon was caused by a driver running a red light.

Upper Gwynedd Police were dispatched to the scene at 2:17 p.m. for a report of a two-vehicle crash. Police said the crash involved a 63-year-old woman and a 64-year-old woman.

No injuries were reported, however both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. The driver of the vehicle that went ran the red light was cited for a red-light violation.
