The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission approved a rate increase for natural gas distribution services.
The state commission approved a 4.94 percent increase for PECO’s gas division, which was smaller then PECO’s request for an 8.9 percent jump. The approved increase will provide for a $29.1 million revenue increase.
The state commission voted 4-0 last week to accept and modify a recommended decision of Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission Deputy Chief Administrative Law Judge Christopher P. Pell.
PECO provides natural gas distribution service to approximately 534,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers in southeastern Pennsylvania.
