Simple Assault in Montgomery Township

Nicholas Donahue, 29, of Montgomery Township, was arrested on charges of misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment in connection with an alleged domestic incident that occurred on June 9.

Police said they were dispatched to a home in the township at 1:17 p.m. for a report of an assault. A male victim stated that Donahue had punched him in the right ribcage and right should following a verbal argument.

Donahue allegedly confessed to striking the man, police said. He’s currently free on $10,000 unsecured bail and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for June 29.

Man Choked Woman During Incident in Sellersville, Police Say

Robert Brown, 42, of Sellersville, has been charged with felony strangulation, misdemeanor terroristic threats and simple assault, and summary harassment, in connection with an alleged domestic incident that occurred in Sellersville on June 14.

Police said that Brown broke a coffee table, broke a door off its hinges and strangled a female victim following a verbal argument. The incident was loud enough to trigger multiple calls to 9-1-1, and both Brown and the victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the strangulation and the victim defending herself, police said.

Brown is currently at the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10% of $250,000 bail. His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for June 22 at 2 p.m. in front of District Judge Regina Armitage.

Drunk Woman Charged Following Pair of Incidents in Telford, Police Say

Ellen Macmillan, 52, of Telford, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct along with summary counts of disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and obstructions of highways, in connection with a pair of alleged incidents that occurred on June 12 and June 13.

Police said Macmillan was highly intoxicated at 11:33 p.m. on June 12 while she was accusing someone of stealing her phone. Macmillan was belligerent and defied police orders, however she was taken home and no charges were filed, according to the criminal complaint.

Several hours later, during the early morning hours of June 13, police were again dispatched to the area for a report that Macmillan was standing in the middle of the intersection of North Main Street and East Church Avenue, forcing vehicles to drive around her, according to the complaint.

Macmillan was then taken into custody and later released to emergency medical personnel for treatment of a medical issue.

Police said that in the span of one year, they have responded to more than 20 calls in connection with incidents involving Macmillan. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 20 at 2:15 p.m. in front of District Judge Regina Armitage.
