Police said they were initially contacted by a female victim on June 22, 2020, who reported that she had been sexually assaulted by Kerr, whom she had known for approximately six years.

The victim said that two days prior, she was helping Kerr move into a home in Perkasie then stayed at the home after staying late to help setup furniture, according to the criminal complaint. The investigation continued for nearly a year, with charges being officially filed on June 15, 2021.

Kerr was arraigned on June 17 by District Judge Regina Armitage, who set bail and scheduled his preliminary hearing for Aug. 17, at 1:30 p.m.
