Multiple police, fire and emergency medical units have been dispatched to the scene of a vehicle crash at the intersection of Welsh and Forty Foot roads in Towamencin Township.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, multiple units were dispatched to the scene at 8:46 a.m. for a report of a vehicle crash with injuries and entrapment. Sources tell North Penn Now that one person has been extricated from their vehicle and they were subsequently transported from the scene via ambulance with unknown injuries.
It is unknown if there are any other injuries as a result of the crash. The scene remains active at this time, and motorists are encouraged to avoid the area.
Towamencin Police are being assisted at the scene by units from Hatfield Township Police, Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale, Towamencin Fire Company, Fairmount Fire Company, Hatfield Fire Company and Harleysville Fire Company.
