Lansdale’s Newest Art Gallery, The Eclipse Center, to Open Next Week

Eclipse Center for Creative Community will open its doors for the first time next week to welcome the community into two galleries full of art representing the artist’s interpretation of the light at the end of the tunnel.

This is the inaugural show of the galleries at Eclipse is scheduled for July 30 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will represent the public’s first glimpse at Lansdale’s newest art gallery. The show will feature art from 24 artists with 58 works located in the Gathering Gallery on the lower level and the Main Gallery on the Upper Level. Refreshments will be served, and tours of the facility will be offered by Eclipse Owner and Director Joanne Coppens, along with Gallerist Kaitlyn Coppens.

Additionally, attendees will be able to meet some of the artists whose work is being featured, as well as some of the facility’s instructors and artists in residence.

“Eclipse was named for the unexpected moments of darkness we all face and the light on the other side,” said Coppens, when asked about the name of the gallery. “I never imagined the name would be so apropos when I signed the lease last year, but I hope Eclipse is a place that embodies that light and brings joy to the community”

Eclipse Center for Creative Community will offer fine art classes and fun art experiences for all ages and skill levels in their over 4000-square-foot facility that includes two classrooms, a boutique, two art galleries and nine artist studios.

The opening of the gallery is limited to attendees aged 16 and over who will have a chance to see fabulous art full of color and hope. It will also be an opportunity to meet the staff and learn about the programming and events that will be hosted at the center, including a family-friendly event full of activities to come in early August.
