Lansdale Borough Police have announced the arrest of a 30-year-old man on drug charges following an early-morning traffic stop on Sunday.
According to police, officers conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of East Third and Ridge streets at 5 a.m. on Jan. 16 for a violation of the PA Motor Vehicle Code. Police said the driver — identified as 30-year-old Christopher Harris — was found to be operating the vehicle on a suspended license and he also had an active warrant for his arrest in Bucks County.
Once Harris was taken into custody, police said that he was found to be in possession of a Ziplock bag which contained suspected crystal methamphetamine.
Harris has been charges with summary counts of driving on a suspended license and driving with no rear lights. Charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia are pending, police said.
Harris was later released to the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department for procession on the arrest warrant, police said.
(All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using court records and the affidavit of probable cause.)
