Photos: Winter Storm Orlena Dumps Upwards of 10 Inches of Snow Across North Penn Area

As the remnants of the first Nor’easter of 2021 — dubbed Winter Storm Orlena — exit the area, North Penn Now wants to provide some images documenting the three-day storm.

Though areas to the north and west reported more than two feet of snow, the North Penn area ended up with far lower totals. According to a report by Rachel Ravina at The Reporter, the area received the following snow totals as of Tuesday afternoon:

  • Lower Salford (Harleysville) – 10 inches
  • Towamencin (Kulpsville) – 9 inches
  • Lansdale  – 8.5 inches
  • North Wales – 8.3 inches

Additionally, Ravina’s report states that the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety received nearly 4,000 calls from the beginning of the storm of Sunday through Tuesday, including 294 reports of disabled vehicles and 248 crashes across the county.

North Penn Now photographer Bob Kelly made his way out each day of the storm, taking photos to document the aftermath. Check out his gallery below.
