World War II Veteran Honored by Towamencin Daughters of the American Revolution

World War II veteran Arnold “Brad” Bradburd, of Gwynedd, was honored by the Towamencin Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) at their Dec. 18 meeting.

Chapter officer Susanne Johnston presented Bradburd with the award and certificate in recognition of his service, valor and sacrifice during World War II. The United States Navy veteran served in the South Pacific in PT boats and was in six battles from New Guinea to the Philippines. He received stars for each battle from the Navy with his honorable discharge at the end of the war.

Following the meeting, Bradburd took part in the Wreaths Across America ceremony sponsored by the Towamencin Chapter at Wentz’s United Church of Christ Cemetery in Skippack.
