Police Investigating Saturday Night Robbery in Montgomery Township

Montgomery Township Police are seeking public assistance in identifying and locating the suspects responsible for a robbery that occurred on Saturday night.

Police said they were dispatched to the 100 block of Colt Circle at 9 p.m. for a report of a robbery. Three men reportedly forced entry to the residence and confronted the homeowner, demanding cash and valuables. The suspects were described as Black males of average height and slim builds, police said.

The preliminary investigation shows that the robbery was for a specifically targeted address, and was not a random crime, according to Montgomery Township Police Chief Scott Bendig.

Police are asking residents in the area to check their surveillance systems for suspicious activity or vehicles on Dec. 4. Additionally, investigators ask the surveillance systems be checked for a suspicious vehicle — possibly a silver truck or SUV — between 8 p.m. on Nov. 30 and 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 4.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact the Montgomery Township Police Department Detective Division at (215) 362-2301, [email protected], or through their anonymous tip line (215) 393-6714.
